Kansas Food Bank Capital Campaign Completed

Brad Cecil & Associates is excited to announce the completion of the Kansas Food Bank’s $5,000,000 capital campaign, Growing to Serve: Working Together Against Hunger. BCA has been providing direct response support to KFB since 2009 and was honored to be selected as the campaign counsel to partner with KFB for this campaign that has exceeded its fundraising goal!

Since fundraising began in the Fall of 2016, more than 40 individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations have joined the Growing to Serve capital campaign. Their contributions, totaling $5,031,017 (and counting), will help KFB to expand its warehouse and build a new volunteer center in Wichita, KS. As a result of these improvements, KFB will double its fresh produce distribution, create a more efficient food distribution process, and provide access to fresh foods to some of the most underserved rural communities within its 85-county service area.

The campaign was lead by KFB President & CEO, Brian Walker. Brian’s strategic leadership and commitment to the mission of the Food Bank drove the success of the campaign. The overwhelming support of the community is a true testament to Brian’s vision for KFB as the leading hunger relief agency in the state. And, in recognition for his leadership and dedication to improving the Wichita community, Brian has been named the Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Wichita. He will be recognized during their National Philanthropy Day program in the fall. BCA is honored to work alongside Brian and support his remarkable leadership that impacts the lives of hungry Kansans every day.
