Brad Cecil’s first job out of college was serving an international nonprofit organization based in New York. Fundraising and development were a part of his job description — it eventually became his passion.
From New York, Brad moved to Dallas to become an executive director with a nonprofit organization serving youth and families. After years of raising money for his own cause, Brad started helping other organizations improve their fundraising and donor communication. The successes he saw and his growing passion led to Brad Cecil & Associates.
Brad Cecil & Associates formed in 1998 to help organizations with their fundraising communication and organizational development. The company has grown into a staff of skilled specialists that now serve nonprofit organizations all over the country.
Brad Cecil is the founder and president of Brad Cecil & Associates. As a career nonprofit administrator, Brad learned firsthand what motivates donors to support a cause, and he has built his company around this donor-focused approach to fundraising. In its 20 years of service to its nonprofit clients, Brad Cecil & Associates has helped organizations raise millions of dollars for their causes. Brad has nearly 30 years of experience with nonprofit organizations and has been a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 1997. Brad continues to be involved as a high level strategist for all clients of Brad Cecil & Associates.
Lauren has been with Brad Cecil & Associates for 13 years and has served the company’s clients in several capacities. Together, she and Brad Cecil have grown the agency from two clients to two dozen, while maintaining the same level of exceptional service and results. Using her background in journalism to interview and photograph aid recipients, she has spent extensive time “in the field” giving her the opportunity to understand that the primary responsibility of a fundraiser is to inspire people and move them to action through the art of storytelling and making the ask.
Norma has worked in the direct response industry since 1995 and served in numerous creative roles, including three years as a senior designer and seven years as associate creative director. She has consistently led creative teams to develop highly successful direct mail and multi-channel promotions in both English and Spanish. She is very skilled in developing and nurturing the relationship between art and copy to ensure the impact of the final product. Norma’s deep knowledge of direct response fundraising greatly influences the success of Brad Cecil & Associates’ client projects.
Vickie brings more than 15 years of capital campaign fundraising and nonprofit experience to Brad Cecil & Associates. She has provided nonprofit support through various roles, including Director of Marketing for a national museum and Capital Campaign Manager for a new national memorial. Her comprehensive and proven experience across individual, foundation, corporate and cause-marketing fundraising allows her to help our clients develop a robust strategy to reach major fundraising goals and change the lives of those they serve.
