Before North Texas began to shut down due to COVID-19 restrictions, Brad Cecil & Associates was excited to join Operation Kindness for the grand opening of the brand new Rees-Jones Foundation Medical Wing on March 12, 2020!
BCA has been a partner of Operation Kindness since 2008 and was honored to be selected as the fundraising counsel for their $12,200,000 Build.Save.Love capital campaign. Launched in 2017, the campaign has been supported by more than 87 generous individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations in order to continue to fulfill Operation Kindness’ mission by increasing adoptions of homeless cats and dogs by an estimated 35%.
In order to support this goal, strategic capital improvements to the Operation Kindness campus in Carrollton have been approached in three phases. The grand opening of the Rees-Jones Foundation Medical Wing marks the completion of the first phase. Enjoy a virtual tour of the state-of-the-art facility here! The second phase features a completely reconstructed large dog area, known as Bear’s Den, which is already well on its way to completion. Take a tour of the progress here. The third and final phase will address the current facility, which will be completely renovated to enhance the visitor experience and improve efficiencies for the intake and adoption processes.
BCA wishes to congratulate the leaders of Operation Kindness who have worked tirelessly to see this project through and continue to do so as the remaining phases are completed. Thanks to the vision of the Board of Directors, leadership of the Capital Campaign Committee and dedicated advocacy of the executive and development staff of Operation Kindness, countless homeless cats and dogs will be given a second chance to find loving forever homes.
